The Workforce Development Board (WDB) serves as an Advisory Board to the Imperial County Board of Supervisors (BOS).  This body provides input and recommendations on Workforce Development Activities in Imperial County that include: 

• Developing a Strategic Plan for the local Workforce Development System.
• Recommending the level of funding that is to be provided to workforce development activities.
• Evaluating Workforce Development Services, strategic programs and overall performance outcomes. 
• Negotiating local performance measures with the State of California Workforce Service Division.
• Conducting research on local market trends in the workforce system and develops criteria for local programs.

As mandated, the WDB is comprised of members from both private and public organizations who volunteer their time to the promotion of workforce development activities.
