MISSION STATEMENT
The Assessor’s Office personnel will
always strive in providing competent and efficient assessment service in a
manner resulting in an equitable and fair treatment to all Imperial
County taxpayers. Pursuant to State
Laws, California Constitution, Revenue and Taxation Codes, California
Administrative Code Sections and State Board of Equalization guidelines and
directives. Our objective is to continue providing professional and courteous
public service at all times.

WHAT DOES THE ASSESSOR DO?
The Assessor has the following
basic responsibilities:
- Locate all taxable property in the County and
identify the ownership.
- Establish a taxable value for all property subject to
property taxation.
- Complete an assessment roll showing the assessed
value of all property.
- Apply all legal exemptions.
- Maintain current the Assessor’s Maps and County’s GIS
Base Map.
- Complete and deliver the Assessment Roll to the
Auditor/Controller by June 30th.
