PLANNING AND ENGINEERING

The Air District currently permits all stationary sources, of emissions such as boilers, engines, turbines etc. within the Imperial County.  In addition, through the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)the Air District assures that land use projects in Imperial County do not contribute to the decline of air quality within the Salton Sea Basin.  All existing permits must be renewed yearly.  Please review our Rules and Regulations to help you understand our permitting process and our CEQA process.
